Well here it is! Our new blog! I'm Arun, and I work with my friend Shree, and we are both Indian and massive car fans. We created this blog to just express our feelings about our passion for what's old and new in the car world. We'll talk about almost anything related to cars, including new cars, spy shots, the latest reviews, motorsports, and even motoring television shows! Shree and I will be spliting up the posts, including posting occasionally our opinions of certain things we appreciate, or perhaps don't appreciate, in the car world.
Ferrari 599 replacement
So here it is. The first post. Just in time for the brand-new Ferrari, code-named the "F620 GT", which is being revealed in tomorrow at the Geneva Auto Show... in Geneva. If spy shots are correct, which I certainly hope to God are not, this new car will be arguably one of the worst-looking Ferraris in the past many years. But we'll only find out tomorrow won't we? What are your thoughts on the new Ferrari?
Fiery Daytona 500
And in other news, the Daytona 500 was held on Monday February 27th, due to rain delays. Rain as we know can make driving quite dangerous, especially in NASCAR. But we did see our fair share of crashes, including the highlight of them all, the massive explosion of Juan Montoya and a jet dryer truck. Montoya lost control of his car in Turn 3, and smashed into the dryer truck which immediately burst into flames. Matt Kenseth won the record-length Daytona 500 after starting in fourth place on the starting grid. If you're a NASCAR fan, which Daytona 500 was the most memorable for you?
Return of Formula 1
Also, Formula 1 kicks back into full gear as the first Practice for the Australian GP begins in 15 days on March 23rd, and the race itself on March 25th. The race is up for grabs, as we see Ferrari struggling a bit with their complex F2012 race car, Red Bull Racing coming from 2010 and 2011 with both Driver's and Constructor's Championships under their belt for both years, and McLaren with their MP4-27 as the only car without the new style of F1 noses. More information on these new F1 noses can be found at http://www.formula1.com/news/technical/2012/0/929.html. 2012 also sees the return of F1 to America, as the constructors will be racing in Austin, Texas this year in the fall. So what do we think? Will F1 stay in America this time, and will it finally catch on in this country?
Always feel free to comment on any post we write! This is Arun, signing off!
